6 August, 2025 – Although dairy milk has many health properties that are currently in demand – protein, vitamin D and minimal processing – it still struggles with declining sales. The strongest innovation in dairy milk has been the introduction of ultra-filtered milks with higher protein and less sugar, along with UHT processing for longer shelf life. However, high price premiums remain a constraining factor, a particularly high hurdle as grocery prices continue to rise and consumers continue to struggle with grocery bills.
