November 5, 2025 – Italy has extremely strong traditions in its cuisine, so it is no surprise to find that the sauces and seasonings category is still led by cooking aids designed to deliver local and familiar meals, e.g., pasta sauces, oils and seasonings. In line with this, local concepts also abound within new product development (NPD), and regional recipes and ingredients (including those with “Protected Designation of Origin”) are strongly represented.
