February 12, 2024 – This report analyzes the trends in healthy snacks consumption in the United States. Over the past year approximately one-third of US adults have reported an increase in the consumption of snacks with added health benefits, such as fiber and vitamins. However, there has been a slight decline in the launches of snacks with health-related positioning, dropping from 74% in 2018 to 69% of total snacks in 2022. These health-related positions include attributes like gluten-free and no/low sugar.
