April 28, 2025 – As the Canadian government establishes their response to Donald Trump’s tariffs, Canadian consumers are also reacting. Changes in attitudes and behaviors are already apparent, though rapidly shifting political and economic policies promise that consumers will be similarly and necessarily in flux. A sense of solidarity and national pride has begun to influence shopping habits across categories, as has the pressure of rising prices, product availability and exchange rate fluctuation.
